Aspiring National Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), John Boadu, has issued an appeal for decorum, unity, and peaceful conduct as the party gears up for its presidential primaries this Saturday, January 31. <\/p>\n

In a statement released, Boadu urged all aspirants, delegates, and party supporters to ensure the internal election process upholds the party\u2019s core values.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe presidential primaries present an important moment in our party\u2019s democratic journey,\u201d Boadu stated. \u201cIt is a process that must reflect our long-held values of discipline, fairness, unity and respect for the rule of law.\u201d<\/p>\n

The primaries, scheduled for January 31, will see the party select its flagbearer for the 2028 general elections. <\/p>\n

The contest features former Vice President and 2024 presidential candidate, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia; former Assin Central MP, Kennedy Agyapong; former Minister for Education, Dr Yaw Osei Adutwum; former Minister for Food and Agriculture, Dr Bryan Acheampong; and former General Secretary of the party, Kwabena Agyepong.<\/p>\n

In all, 211,849 delegates are expected to cast their ballots at 333 polling centres located across the country\u2019s 276 constituencies.<\/p>\n

Boadu specifically called on delegates to vote responsibly, guided by \u201cthe supreme interest of the NPP and the collective aspiration of Ghanaians for competent, principled and visionary leadership.\u201d<\/p>\n

He also directly addressed party supporters, appealing for calm and vigilance while rejecting any acts of violence or intimidation that could mar the credibility of the exercise.<\/p>\n

\u201cA peaceful, transparent, and credible election will strengthen our party and position us firmly for the task ahead,\u201d he emphasised.<\/p>\n

He stressed the need for unity regardless of the outcome, highlighting that the party\u2019s ultimate goal is to \u201csecure victory in the 2028 General Elections.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
