FIFA has announced that the media accreditation process for the FIFA World Cup 2026\u2122 is now open for media representatives and non-rights holders (NRHs).
\nAs with previous World Cup tournaments, FIFA has allocated a fixed number of accreditations to Member Associations for written press and photographers.
\nGhana has been allotted 10 accreditation slots for written press and two for photographers.<\/p>\n

The media is hereby informed that this allocation does not cover broadcasters, including radio and television stations, nor broadcast and non-broadcast World Cup rights holders.
\nJournalists who are non-rights holders may register independently through the FIFA Media Hub, while photographers are also encouraged to explore this platform for any additional accreditation opportunities that may become available.

\nMedia accreditation is available for:

\nPhotographers
\nInternational and national news agencies

\nFIFA Media Partnerships will be directly responsible for the accreditation of FIFA Media Partners (rights-holding media organisations).
\nThe FIFA Media Partnerships team is in regular contact with the Media Partners and will inform them directly about the accreditation procedure and other accreditation-related matters.

\nFIFA Media Hub \u2013 Mandatory
\nAll applications must be submitted via the FIFA Media Hub.
\nTo apply, you must have:
\nAn approved FIFA Media Hub account
\nMedia Hub accounts are personal and must not be shared.
\nAccreditation Control Keys & Quotas
\nAccreditation for written press and photographers is managed via FIFA Member Associations.
\nEach Member Association receives a limited quota based on:
\nPrevious World Cup participation
\nQualification status for FIFA World Cup 2026\u2122
\nMember Associations distribute control keys to media organisations and freelancers.
\nMedia representatives must contact their FIFA Member Association to request a control key.
\nRadio and television non-rights holders
\nNon-rights holders\u202f(NRHs) are radio and television companies that do not have media rights for the FIFA World Cup 2026.
\nNRHs will be able to apply for media accreditation without a control key. We wish to stress that\u202fthe number of NRH accreditations will be very limited and that\u202fthe matchday access policies are still to be defined.

\nMedia accreditation does not grant access to matches by default. Accreditation provides access only to the stadium media centre.
\nAccess on matchday to designated media or photo positions, attend press conferences, or access the mixed zone, media representatives must hold a separate, approved media ticket for the specific match.
\nWithout a valid media ticket, stadium entry will be limited, even if accreditation has been approved. Media ticket applications will open shortly after accreditation launches.
\nRequests must be submitted via the FIFA Media Hub or FIFA Media App
\nOnly accredited applicants may request tickets
\nAt this stage, media tickets can only be requested for group-stage matches.
