Vice President Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang has commended the Minister for Lands and Natural Resources, Emmanuel Armah Kofi Buah, for his outstanding management of the country\u2019s lands and natural resources.<\/p>\n

During a working visit to the ministry on Tuesday, January 27, in Accra, the Vice President lauded Mr Buah and his team, noting that she had observed their efforts firsthand.<\/p>\n

\u201cThank you so much for this good story; it can only get better,\u201d she said.
\u201cOur job is to encourage you, to congratulate you for what you have done so far, and to encourage you to even do more, and to let you know that we trust what you are doing,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n

She emphasised that the executive arm of government is ready to support his initiatives. \u201cWe are here to encourage you to think that we are always there for you. We are not in a distant place receiving a report written by faceless people,\u201d the Vice President noted.<\/p>\n

Her remarks followed a presentation by the Minister detailing key initiatives, particularly the ministry\u2019s ongoing fight against illegal mining, commonly referred to as galamsey.<\/p>\n

The Vice President\u2019s visit to the Lands and Natural Resources Ministry comes after her earlier tour of the Ministry of Sports and Recreation.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
