Akatsi North MP, Peter Nortsu-Kotoe, has paid tuition fees for some 95 tertiary students from his constituency.<\/p>\n

The beneficiaries are students from various Universities, Colleges of Education, and Nursing.<\/p>\n

Mr Kotoe provided cheques ranging from GH\u00a22,400 to GH\u00a28,000<\/span>, totalling GH\u00a2400,000, to cover fees for the 2025\/26 academic year.<\/p>\n

He explained that the initiative was fueled by a vision to enhance the constituency\u2019s Human Resources, which he recognised as lacking expertise when he was elected to represent them in 2013.<\/p>\n

He outlined that he is focused on enrolling graduates in science-related programs and on skill development, having identified human resource gaps in the constituency.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe lapses really are in the science-related courses. Last year I wanted some numbers for law, medicine, and mechanical engineering, but we couldn\u2019t get, we just got two or three. <\/p>\n

\u201cSo, that is the area we need to focus on, and skill development. That is why I am taking an interest in those who are admitted to technical universities,\u201d Mr Kotoe said.<\/p>\n

He further indicated that he spends over 70% of his share of the DACF on school fees each year.<\/p>\n

The MP, therefore, encouraged the beneficiaries to study hard and excel academically to justify the significant investments made in their education.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
