The seven individuals who lost their lives in a fatal accident at Asikuma in the Bia West District of the Western North Region have been laid to rest on Thursday, January 22.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

The accident, which occurred on January 7, 2026, around 7:00 am, involved a tricycle transporting the victims to their farm,\u00a0which collided\u00a0with a truck loaded with logs.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The deceased are Isaac Acquah, 64, and his wife, Elizabeth Asiedu, 53,\u00a0and\u00a0Madam\u00a0Dora\u00a0Asiedu 64,\u00a0the elder sister of Mrs Elizabeth Asiedu.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The\u00a0rest\u00a0are, Madam\u00a0Akua Bronya, 70, Madam Yaa Ampomah,\u00a070,\u00a0Madam\u00a0Ama Yamoah, 62, and Madam Cecelia Samaah, 55.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Reverend Anthony\u00a0Abekah\u00a0Addae of\u00a0Esaam\u00a0Methodist Church, who officiated the burial service, emphasised the inevitability of death and urged Christians to lead exemplary lives. <\/p>\n

\u201cLet\u2019s be reminded that heaven is won or lost right here on earth,\u201d he stressed.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Western North Regional Minister, Wilbert Petty\u00a0Brentum,\u00a0expressed shock at the news and commiserated with the bereaved family.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n

He extended the President\u2019s condolences to the family and the\u00a0Asuopri\u00a0community.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The Regional Minister was accompanied by the\u00a0Member of Parliament for Bia West, Mr Amadu\u00a0Tanko, Bia West DCE, Matthew Annor, and other regional executives of the National Democratic Congress.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The bereaved families\u00a0and community members gathered to bid farewell to their loved ones, remembering their contributions to the community.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The burial ceremony was a solemn occasion, with many mourners paying their last respects to the deceased.<\/p>\n
