Ghana forward Mohammed Fuseini made his UEFA Champions League debut for Royale Union Saint-Gilloise on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, as a second-half substitute in their 2-0 away loss to Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The appearance marked a significant milestone for the 23-year-old, who had previously only featured in the competition\u2019s qualifying rounds and expressed a strong desire to play in the main tournament.<\/p>\n

Fuseini entered the match in the 66th minute, replacing teammate Koki Machida, and played for a total of 24 minutes.\u00a0<\/p>\n

His debut came shortly after his return from an ankle injury suffered in September 2025 that had kept him sidelined for approximately five months.\u00a0<\/p>\n

He had only just made his return to the squad in a Belgian Cup match against FCV Dender EH on January 14, followed by a league appearance against KV Mechelen, making the Champions League debut a rapid and positive progression in his recovery and return to top-flight football.<\/p>\n

The match itself saw Bayern Munich secure a dominant victory.
