The Enchi District office of the Forestry Commission has arrested 13 illegal miners who invaded the Boi Tano and Jema Asemkrom forest reserves in the Western North Region.<\/p>\n

An operation coordinated by the Western North Regional Forest Services Division last night saw the burning of several pieces of equipment and makeshift structures erected by the miners inside the reserve.<\/p>\n

The Boi Tano and Jema Asemkrom forest reserves are among the green spaces that have come under attack by illegal miners.<\/p>\n

The suspects have since been handed over to the Enchi Police Command for prosecution.<\/p>\n
