The Adabraka District Court has remanded Christford Affadu Danful, popularly known as Ekow Black, into police custody in connection with a widely circulated assault video and additional allegations of sextortion. <\/p>\n

According to a post shared on Facebook by the Ghana Police Service, the suspect was brought before the court on Friday, January 16, as investigations into the matter continue.<\/p>\n

Presiding over the case, Her Worship Nana Abena Asoh Owusu Omenyo ordered that Danful be held in police custody pending further enquiries.<\/p>\n

The court directed that he reappears on Tuesday, January 21, to enable investigators to complete their work and advise the court accordingly.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe suspect was put before the Adabraka District Court on Friday 16th January 2026, where the court, presided over by Her Worship Nana Abena Asoh Owusu Omenyo, ordered that he be remanded into police custody to reappear on 21st January 2026.\u201d<\/p>\n

The remand follows an earlier incident captured in a viral video that has drawn significant public attention. <\/p>\n

Although details of the footage were not fully disclosed in court, prosecutors indicated that the video forms a central part of the ongoing investigation and has prompted further scrutiny of the suspect\u2019s conduct.<\/p>\n
