A fire outbreak has destroyed several temporary wooden structures at Afful Nkwanta, an area in the Ashanti Region occupied by scrap dealers, leaving many counting their losses.<\/p>\n

The blaze, which broke out on in the late hours of Saturday, January 17, rapidly spread through the makeshift wooden stalls due to the highly combustible nature of the materials used in their construction.<\/p>\n

Eyewitnesses say the fire started suddenly and intensified within minutes, forcing traders and residents to flee to safety.<\/p>\n

Items including scrap materials, tools, and personal belongings were razed by the inferno.<\/p>\n

Although the exact cause of the fire is yet to be established, residents suspect it may have been triggered by an open flame or electrical fault within the congested settlement.<\/p>\n
