The Africa Prosperity Network (APN) has launched a continent-wide logo design competition as part of its \u201cMake Africa Borderless Now!\u201d campaign, aiming to engage young creatives in visualising a unified, integrated Africa.<\/p>\n

Speaking on the initiative, APN Chief Executive Officer Sidig Eltoum said the campaign is a defining moment in Africa\u2019s integration journey. \u201cWe are calling on Africa\u2019s creative talent to help us visualise what a borderless Africa looks and feels like \u2014 a visa-free continent where trade, talent, and culture flow without hindrance,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n

The competition is open to professional designers, students, and amateur creatives of African descent worldwide. Entrants are expected to submit logos that reflect continental unity, cultural diversity, youth-driven innovation, economic transformation under the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA), and a shared Pan-African identity.<\/p>\n

According to APN, the winning design will be announced at a press briefing during the Africa Prosperity Dialogues (APD) 2026 in Accra on January 26, 2026, with a prize of USD $1,000. <\/p>\n

The official campaign launch will follow from February 4\u20136, 2026, at the Accra International Conference Centre. Submissions must be completed by January 23, 2026.<\/p>\n

The \u201cMake Africa Borderless Now!\u201d campaign forms part of a broader citizen-driven effort to mobilise 10 million signatures from Africans on the continent and in the diaspora. These signatures will be presented to African Heads of State and Government at the 40th Ordinary Session of the African Union Assembly in Addis Ababa in February 2027.<\/p>\n

The campaign targets twelve priority areas, including visa-free travel, open skies, digital trade integration, cross-border mobile money interoperability, mutual recognition of skills, and the establishment of a unified African customs union. <\/p>\n

According to APN, the movement seeks to tackle what it describes as Africa\u2019s paradox, where it is often easier for non-Africans to travel within the continent than for Africans themselves.<\/p>\n

Eltoum added that the initiative provides a platform for young Africans to contribute to shaping the continent\u2019s future. \u201cThis is a chance for our youth and creative professionals to play a direct role in Africa\u2019s integration, innovation, and economic empowerment,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

The APD 2026, themed \u201cEmpowering SMEs, Women and Youth in Africa\u2019s Single Market: Innovate. Collaborate. Trade,\u201d will convene leaders, entrepreneurs, and policymakers from across Africa to advance economic integration and prosperity.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
