Enterprise Co., Ltd. \u25b3There are 12 companies including Joint Tree Co., Ltd.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Gwangju City has been recruiting participating companies since November of last year, and completed building an operating system for corporate greenhouse gas emissions management and simulated emissions trading in April.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Participating companies said, \u201cThere is already a demand for corporate change in line with global trends such as carbon neutrality and 100 renewable energy.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAlthough there is no legal obligation, we participated to preemptively respond to the road to securing future competitiveness,\u201d he said, adding, \u201cCompanies will actively cooperate as Gwangju City and the Korea Energy Agency provide active support,\u201d and expressed their will to reduce greenhouse gases.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Gwangju Mayor Kang Ki-jeong said, \u201cThe Corporate Carbon Action, which was introduced for the first time in Korea, is where companies first pledged to reduce greenhouse gases even though the government did not regulate it. Although it is not something that shines or is recognized by anyone right now, I am confident that it is a big step for the future and a huge undertaking.\u201d do.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAs the climate crisis is a problem that requires everyone to act immediately, Gwangju City will do its best to achieve carbon neutrality by 2045.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe 12 local companies will take action immediately to reduce greenhouse gases by 11% by 2030, and Gwangju City will also be able to realize a \u20182045 carbon neutral city\u2019, 5 years earlier than the government plan,\u201d he said.
