The Ghana Olympic Committee (GOC) has received a timely financial boost to support preparations for the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, Scotland, as efforts intensify toward athlete readiness and planning.<\/p>\n

The support was presented at a brief ceremony through a partnership with a local radio station, TW Radio 88.9 FM.<\/p>\n

The funding is expected to aid key aspects of the GOC\u2019s build-up to the Games, including athlete welfare, preparation programmes, and stakeholder engagement.<\/p>\n

Speaking at the event, the GOC emphasised the importance of strategic partnerships in sustaining Ghana\u2019s competitiveness on the international stage.<\/p>\n

The GOC delegation was led by 3rd Vice President Ernest Danso, alongside several board members representing various national federations.<\/p>\n

On behalf of the Committee, Delphina Quaye, Board Member and President of the Ghana Swimming Association, described the support as timely as preparations gather pace.<\/p>\n

She noted that strong partnerships play a crucial role in boosting athlete morale and mobilising public interest ahead of major competitions.<\/p>\n

The collaboration reflects the GOC\u2019s broader strategy of engaging diverse partners to strengthen its preparations for Glasgow 2026.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
