Curtis Jones revealed that Mohamed Salah has apologised for his recent explosive interview, with Liverpool\u2019s squad remaining united behind the Egyptian.<\/p>\n

After a 3-3 draw with Leeds United in the Premier League on December 6, Salah, who had been a substitute for three games in a row, snatched the headlines.<\/p>\n

Salah said he had been \u201cthrown under the bus\u201d\u00a0by Liverpool, as well as suggesting his relationship with boss Arne Slot had soured, prompting questions about his future on Merseyside.<\/p>\n

He was left out for a subsequent trip to San Siro to face Inter in the Champions League\u00a0but returned against Brighton last weekend, coming off the bench to assist Hugo Ekitike\u2019s second goal.<\/p>\n

It was an assist that saw Salah break the record for the most Premier League goal involvements for a single club, moving to 277, surpassing Wayne Rooney\u2019s record for Manchester United.<\/p>\n

The 33-year-old has now joined Egypt for the Africa Cup of Nations, but ahead of the Reds\u2019 match against Tottenham on Saturday, Jones revealed that Salah approached his team-mates following that interview.<\/p>\n

\u201cMo is his own man, and he can say his own stuff,\u201d Jones told Sky Sports.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe apologised to us and was like, \u2018If I\u2019ve affected anybody or made you feel any sort of way, I apologise\u2019. That\u2019s the man that he is.<\/p>\n

\u201cI can only speak from my knowing Mo and how he is with us and how he acted on that. He was positive as well.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe was the exact same Mo; he had a big smile on his face, and everybody was exactly the same with him.<\/p>\n

\u201cI guess it\u2019s just part of wanting to be a winner, and I don\u2019t think he will be the last.<\/p>\n

\u201cI get that there are certain ways you can go about things, but if a lad\u2019s fine to be on the bench, and he doesn\u2019t want to play and help the team, I think that\u2019s more of an issue.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen there\u2019s been any sort of anger from us, including myself, it\u2019s always been from a good place.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn the moment, it might not have come out in the right way, but it\u2019s never been to affect the team, the staff, the manager, anybody like that.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re past that now, and we\u2019re gelling well as a team, playing well and starting to win games.\u201d<\/p>\n

Liverpool have seemingly steadied the ship in recent weeks and are unbeaten in their last five outings in all competitions (W3 D2).<\/p>\n

They face Spurs on Saturday as they look to earn back-to-back Premier League wins for the first time since September.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
