Asante Kotoko head coach Karim Zito has blasted the media for what he describes as being \u201cunfairly treated\u201d following their disappointing run of form, which has been attributed to injury concerns.<\/p>\n

Zito said 13 first-team players have struggled with injuries, which contributed to the Porcupines\u2019 struggles in recent weeks.<\/p>\n

Kotoko beat Dreams FC 1-0 on Sunday to end a four-game winless run in the Ghana Premier League.<\/p>\n

\u201cSome journalists are unfairly putting pressure on me,\u201d Zito said in a post-match conference.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen Pep Guardiola [Man City manager] says Rodri is injured, nobody complains. But when I say we have thirteen injured players, it suddenly becomes a problem,\u201d Zito stated.<\/p>\n

\u201cBashir [Heart of Lions coach] complained about the absence of three players, and nobody says anything. I speak about thirteen absentees, and it becomes a problem.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou should be very honest with yourselves. I am not happy with the way you people are treating me.\u201d<\/p>\n

The latest victory sends Kotoko to third place on 24 points, three shy of leaders Aduana FC.<\/p>\n

Up next for Kotoko is an away fixture against Eleven Wonders at the University of Ghana Sports Stadium.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
