President John Mahama was the guest of honour at Kenya\u2019s Independence Day celebrations today.<\/p>\n

At the event, he said: \u201cOur forebears won us political independence.\u201d <\/p>\n

He added that \u201cit is the responsibility of our current generation of African leadership to win economic independence and prosperity for our people.\u201d<\/p>\n
