Minister of Health Kwabena Mintah Akandoh has revealed that the government is developing a centralised national health intelligence database aimed at enhancing transparency and supporting evidence-based decision-making across all levels of the health system.<\/p>\n

Speaking at the second edition of the World Health Expo Leaders at the Kempinski Hotel on December 9, Minister Akandoh emphasised the critical role of digital innovation in transforming Ghana\u2019s health sector.<\/p>\n

\u201cAt this stage of our development, digital innovation has become the driving force behind our transformation,\u201d he said. \u201cWe are building a centralised national health intelligence database that will allow real-time data analytics, greater transparency, and truly evidence-based decision-making at every level of the health system.\u201d<\/p>\n

The minister explained that a national \u2026 layer is being developed, onto which all digital health platforms will be integrated. \u201cThis ensures controllability, national ownership of all data generated, and the ability to use that data to improve the lives of our people,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

He further noted that this digital shift is strengthening governance, improving operational efficiency, and making the health system more responsive to the needs of citizens. <\/p>\n
