Ghanaians are in high spirits following the 2026 FIFA World Cup draw that placed the Black Stars in Group L alongside England, Croatia, and Panama. <\/p>\n

Despite being handed a tricky draw, supporters are confident the 2010 quarterfinalist can advance to the knockout stages and make a mark on football\u2019s biggest stage.<\/p>\n

The atmosphere was electric at a lively watch party hosted at the U.S. Ambassador\u2019s residence in Accra. Football enthusiasts, influencers, and diplomats gathered to witness the draw and discuss the national team\u2019s prospects.<\/p>\n

Chief Executive of the Tema Metropolitan Assembly, Ebi Bright, believes the Black Stars are advancing to the Round of 16 with ease. \u201cI have started my jubilation already\u2026You don\u2019t have to underestimate us, we are determined. We will put up our best and progress.\u201d<\/p>\n

Social media personalities Kalyjay and Bernesse were also particularly vocal about their expectations.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m really excited about the group, especially the England match. I get to see Cole Palmer and hopefully Benjamin Asare.I hope Ghana can take nine points, and I want Cole Palmer to score,\u201d Kalyjay said.<\/p>\n

Bernesse added, \u201cCroatia will be tough, but we\u2019re determined. We will get through definitely.\u201d<\/p>\n

U.S. Charg\u00e9 d\u2019Affaires in Ghana, Rolf Olson, described the draw as \u201creally exciting\u201d and expressed optimism about Ghana\u2019s chances of progressing.<\/p>\n

On travel for fans, he said, \u201cWe\u2019ll provide more information publicly in January on how the application process will work for fans who have purchased tickets, including details on visas and travel arrangements.\u201d<\/p>\n

British High Commissioner to Ghana, Christian Rogg, also weighed in, praising the competitive nature of the group and hoping both Ghana and England progresses. \u201cBoth England and Ghana have strong squads, and hopefully we\u2019ll see each other later in the tournament,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

The Black Stars of Ghana will begin their FIFA World Cup 2026 campaign on Wednesday, June 17, 2026 against Panama. Group L games will be played in both Canada and the U.S.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
