The Odade\u025b 2000 Year Group (Y2K) on Saturday, 29th November, unveiled a fully refurbished dining hall for the Presbyterian Boys\u2019 Secondary School (PRESEC-Legon) as their legacy project for the institution\u2019s 87th Speech and Prize-Giving Day.<\/p>\n

Serving as the powering year group for this year\u2019s celebrations, the Odade\u025b Y2K cohort undertook a comprehensive renovation of the school\u2019s main dining facility. <\/p>\n

The project is aimed at enhancing the dining experience and supporting the school\u2019s rapidly expanding student population.<\/p>\n

The project was formally handed over to the school amid colourful activities marking the Speech and Prize-Giving Day.<\/p>\n

A representative of the Ministry of Education delivered a message on behalf of the Minister for Education, Haruna Iddrisu, and the Director-General of the Ghana Education Service, Professor N.S. Kofi Davis.<\/p>\n

Praising the school\u2019s legacy, she said, \u201cPRESEC stands out today for academic excellence, discipline, and the development of outstanding leaders for this country.\u201d<\/p>\n

She added that the school\u2019s history is \u201cnot just about buildings, colours or traditions. It is about a community that has upheld strong ideals and done great for decades.\u201d<\/p>\n

Referencing the school\u2019s achievements, she said that \u201cyour National Science and Maths Quiz, the senior high school renewable energy challenge in which you are the 2025 champions\u2026 all show this heritage.\u201d<\/p>\n

She also stressed the importance of discipline, stating, \u201cThe theme discipline to shape future leaders reminds us that being a leader without discipline is pointless and having discipline without a goal is pointless.\u201d<\/p>\n

The Minister for Foreign Affairs, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, who is also a member of the Y2K group, served as the guest speaker.<\/p>\n

He told the gathering that he felt \u201chumbled and profoundly honoured\u201d to be chosen for the occasion by the year group that was just a year behind him at school.<\/p>\n

Speaking on the theme, \u201cCelebrating Our Heritage, Shaping Future Leaders Through Discipline and Academic Excellence,\u201d he stressed that PRESEC\u2019s heritage was a living legacy rooted in faith, discipline, scholarship and integrity.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen we celebrate PRESEC\u2019s heritage, we celebrate a heritage of faith grounded in Presbyterian values, a heritage of discipline, a heritage of academic excellence recognised across Ghana and beyond, and a heritage of integrity which holds every Odade\u025b to a higher standard,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

This year\u2019s event was powered by the \u0186dade\u025b 2000 Year Group (Y2K), who were praised for delivering a well-organised celebration and the project for the school.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
