This week\u2019s episode stirred a spirited debate as the trio tackled the provocative topic: Office Romance -Smart Move or Career Risk? Their sharply contrasting views made for a lively and insightful conversation about how romantic relationships in the workplace influence productivity, professionalism, and corporate culture.<\/p>\n

Grandpa opened the discussion by defining office romance as \u201ca romantic relationship between two people within the same workplace, which could even involve a boss and a subordinate.\u201d Though he acknowledged its prevalence, he made his position clear \u2013 he is firmly against it.<\/p>\n

Zeal, however, took a bold stance in the opposite direction. \u201cIt\u2019s 100% super okay for me to engage in office romance,\u201d he declared. To him, finding love at work can be a win-win situation for the couple, their colleagues, and even the company. <\/p>\n

\u201cWhen you have someone who makes you smile all day, it keeps you productive,\u201d he added, joking that such joy could boost output even when salaries fall short. At one point, the panel referenced Romans 16:16, which says, \u201cGreet one another with a holy kiss\u201d, drawing laughter across the studio.<\/p>\n

Alvin introduced a more cautionary perspective, noting that many companies actively discourage or even refuse to employ couples. He expressed strong disapproval of workplace relationships, arguing that they often undermine performance. Quoting the saying, \u201cAll is fair in love and war,\u201d he emphasised that such leniency has no place in a professional environment. <\/p>\n

\u201cMost people do not know how to separate business from pleasure,\u201d he said, warning that workplace romance often leads to disrespect, conflict, and blurred boundaries.<\/p>\n

Grandpa later pointed out that many employees already enter the workplace with existing relationships, eliminating the need to form new ones on the job. But Zeal countered with a playful twist, saying, \u201cIf I owned a company and saw my employees dating, I would sponsor it!\u201d He maintained that love and professionalism can coexist, but only when both partners are emotionally mature.<\/p>\n

Alvin agreed that some married couples working in the same organisation manage to maintain impeccable professionalism, appearing disconnected at work yet united at home. Still, he insisted that, in most companies, workplace dating is considered unethical and discouraged for valid reasons.<\/p>\n

Grandpa wrapped up the conversation by reiterating his stance: \u201cI won\u2019t practice office romance. It\u2019s a bad thing.\u201d<\/p>\n
