Government Spokesperson Felix Kwakye Ofosu has credited President John Mahama for shaping his communication style and instilling in him a disciplined, respectful approach to public engagement. <\/p>\n

Speaking on Joy News\u2019 PM Express on Tuesday, he described Mr Mahama as a hands-on leader who remains deeply interested in how government information is managed.<\/p>\n

Mr Kwakye Ofosu said Mr Mahama\u2019s long background in communication continues to influence the way government messages are crafted and delivered. <\/p>\n

According to the Abura Asebu-Kwamankese MP, this experience gives the former president a perceptive understanding of public mood and the pressures of political messaging. <\/p>\n

He said Mr Mahama constantly checks in to understand how the public is reacting to government actions. He added that this helps the communication team refine its approach.<\/p>\n

The Minister explained that Mr Mahama\u2019s involvement is not controlling but supportive. He said the former president\u2019s experience is an asset he draws from regularly. <\/p>\n

Mr Kwakye Ofosu emphasised that the guidance he receives is practical, steady and rooted in years of leadership in public service.<\/p>\n

Asked whether Mr Mahama had ever coached him directly, Kwakye Ofosu said the former president took a personal interest in him in his early years in politics. <\/p>\n

The Abura Asebu-Kwamankese MP recalled how Mr Mahama urged him to be civil, patient and respectful whenever he spoke to the public. <\/p>\n

He said this advice has shaped his conduct throughout his career. He noted that Mr Mahama continues to encourage teamwork by asking his colleagues to support the communication outfit.<\/p>\n

The comments come at a time when the communication strategies of political actors are under constant public scrutiny. <\/p>\n

Mr Mahama gained national prominence as a communicator before rising through the political ranks. <\/p>\n

From his days as an information minister to his later roles in Parliament, the vice presidency and the presidency, he became known for his measured tone and clarity. <\/p>\n

It is this legacy that Kwakye Ofosu says continues to inspire how he carries out his duties.<\/p>\n

He stressed that having a former president who understands communication is an advantage. He said he benefits from Mr Mahama\u2019s insight and depth. <\/p>\n
