The Ghana cedi recorded a 32.2% appreciation against the US dollar in 11 months of 2025.<\/p>\n

This is compared with 34.4% appreciation in October 2025 and 18.4% in September 2025.<\/p>\n

According to the Bank of Ghana\u2019s November 2025 Summary of Economic and Financial Data, the local currency traded at GH\u00a211.12 to the American greenback on the interbank market.<\/p>\n

It, however, sold at GH\u00a212.10 to one American greenback in the retail market.<\/p>\n

In May 2025, the local currency gained 43% in value against the American greenback since January 1, 2025.<\/p>\n

Similarly, the cedi appreciated by 42.6% against the dollar in June 2025 and 40.5% in July 2025.<\/p>\n

It also appreciated by 18.8% to the euro on the interbank market in November 2025, going for GH\u00a212.80. However, it lost a huge value between July and September 2025.<\/p>\n

For the pound, the cedi also gained 26.4% in value. It consequently sold at GH\u00a214.55 on the interbank market.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, the cedi\u2019s earlier rally levelled off over the past two weeks, with momentum softening across both the interbank and retail FX markets.<\/p>\n

On the interbank market, the cedi closed at GH\u00a211.12 to one US dollar, reflecting a 1.80% depreciation from GH\u00a210.92.<\/p>\n

The retail segment also showed a similar trend, with the cedi losing 1.24% against the dollar to GH\u00a2 12.10 to a dollar from GH\u00a211.95.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
