Former Manhyia South MP and running mate to Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh, says he has spent the last ten months in deep reflection and quiet renewal. <\/p>\n

Speaking on Joy News\u2019 PM Express on Tuesday, he revealed that the period has been one of the most meaningful phases of his public life.<\/p>\n

\u201cIn the last 10 months, I\u2019ve been enjoying life,\u201d he said, opening up about a rare stretch of calm after years of intense political work. <\/p>\n

Host Evans Mensah pressed further, asking if he even had it in him to relax, to which Dr Opoku Prempeh responded with ease. \u201cI have been reading and enjoying life, my brother.\u201d<\/p>\n

He said the break has allowed him to slow down and re-centre himself. <\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve been reflecting so much,\u201d he explained. He described travelling across the country on a listening tour, reconnecting with people and grounding himself again. <\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve been going around the country on a listening tour. I\u2019ve been reconnecting to my roots and establishing my foot firmly on the ground.\u201d<\/p>\n

The period, he noted, has been more than just rest. It has been a moment of introspection and clarity about the future. <\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve been mostly listening, reflecting, doing a soul search on what\u2019s the purpose going forward.\u201d<\/p>\n

Despite his long years in frontline politics, Dr Opoku Prempeh said this break has given him a depth of stillness and perspective he has not had in a long time. <\/p>\n

\u201cSo it\u2019s been the best time in the last probably 16 years,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
