Deputy Minority Leader Patricia Appiagyei has called on the government to ensure that the 400 million cedis allocated to the Women\u2019s Bank in the 2025 budget is released without delay. <\/p>\n

Speaking ahead of the parliamentary debate on the budget, she stressed that while budget proposals may be ambitious, their success depends on effective implementation.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf these policies may be good, but if the implementation is bad, it turns into a bad policy,\u201d Appiagyei said, emphasising the need for the allocation to benefit women, children, and other vulnerable groups as intended.<\/p>\n

She added that her focus in reviewing the budget is on how the affirmative action plan and other programs will impact the lives of ordinary citizens. <\/p>\n

\u201cWhen women, children, and vulnerable groups are taken care of, I think that now we are safe,\u201d she noted.<\/p>\n

Appiagyei encouraged parliamentarians to critically analyse the budget statements and examine how allocations and reforms, including tax measures, will translate into tangible improvements in people\u2019s well-being. <\/p>\n

She said using population data to monitor impact would be key to ensuring policies achieve their intended outcomes.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
