Newmont has paid GH\u00a22.388 billion in taxes, royalties, levies, and carried interest to the government of Ghana for the third quarter of 2025. <\/p>\n

These payments were made through agencies including the Ghana Revenue Authority, the Forestry Commission, and the Ministry of Finance.<\/p>\n

The Q3 payments comprise Corporate Tax of GH\u00a21.192 billion, Capital Gains Tax of GH\u00a2511 million, Minerals Royalty of GH\u00a2309 million, Carried Interest of GH\u00a2234 million, Pay As You Earn (PAYE) Tax of GH\u00a275 million, and Withholding Tax of GH\u00a267 million.<\/p>\n

This brings Newmont\u2019s total fiscal contributions for the year so far, from January to September 2025, to GH\u00a29.874 billion, highlighting the company\u2019s steady support for Ghana\u2019s economic and fiscal development.<\/p>\n

\u201cThese payments demonstrate our ongoing commitment to honouring our tax and other obligations to the state, as well as to our local communities. <\/p>\n

By paying our fair share of taxes and disclosing these payments, we help to promote transparency and good governance,\u201d said Danquah Addo-Yobo, Country Manager for Newmont\u2019s Ghana operations.<\/p>\n

Newmont remains one of Ghana\u2019s leading taxpayers and a major contributor to national development through tax payments, employment creation, local procurement, and community investment. <\/p>\n

With the official opening of its Ahafo North mine in October, expected to produce between 275,000 and 325,000 ounces of gold annually, Newmont is set to expand its production footprint and further boost its contribution to Ghana\u2019s economy.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
