The National Anti-illegal Mining Operations Secretariat (NAIMOS) Task force has launched an audacious dawn operation to flush out galamseyers from a notorious illegal mining site nicknamed \u2018Yellow face\u2019 at Wassa Abrehyia in the Western Region.<\/p>\n

The unexpected presence of the NAIMOS task force deterred inhabitants of the area with the galamseyers fleeing to escape arrest.<\/p>\n

The task force subsequently raided the area and set ablaze some makeshift structures and other equipment used for illegal mining at the Site.<\/p>\n

The raids also revealed massive use of illicit drugs and dynamite at the illegal mining site.<\/p>\n

NAIMOS would continue such surgical operations in the coming days and weeks to disrupt the activities of illegal miners and rid the areas of the illicit drugs menace.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
