following their arraignment before the Fiapre Circuit Court in connection with the theft of a service pistol from the security detail of the Ahafo Newmont Mines Company in Ntotroso-Kenyase.<\/p>\n<p>The Bono Regional Police Command, through its Public Relations Officer, Chief Inspector Thomas Akeelah, confirmed the details of the arrests and court action.<\/p>\n<p>The incident dates back to January 13, 2025, when the official Berreta pistol with serial number GHGP\/NHQ\/CTD\/H78688Z-13 was reported stolen from the mining site.<\/p>\n<p>The Bono Regional Police Command announced that an intelligence-led operation, spearheaded by the National Counter-Terrorism Unit (CTU), culminated in the arrest of four suspects on November 12, 2025\u2014nearly ten months after the weapon\u2019s disappearance.<\/p>\n<p>The arrested individuals are:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Joseph Blackige<\/strong> (25)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Kwabena Dodzi<\/strong> (44)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Adu Yeboah Abraham<\/strong> (46)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Priscilla Awuni<\/strong> (18)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Initial arrests targeted Joseph Blackige and Priscilla Awuni in Ntotroso. <\/p>\n<p>While a search of Blackige\u2019s room yielded no immediate evidence, subsequent interrogation led authorities to the other suspects. <\/p>\n<p>Blackige admitted to passing the stolen weapon to Kwabena Dodzi, who, in turn, led the team to the house of Adu Yeboah Abraham.<\/p>\n<p>A search conducted at the residence of Mr. Abraham, uncovered incriminating evidence:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Six (6) BB cartridges<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>A quantity of <strong>suspected gunpowder<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>GH\u20b5 28,844.00<\/strong> in cash<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>These exhibits have been retained by the police as evidence in the ongoing investigation.<\/p>\n<p>The suspects appeared before Her Honour Mrs. Akua Adoma Addae at the Fiapre Circuit Court on provisional charges of stealing and possession of stolen property.<\/p>\n<p>H\/W Mrs. Akua Adoma Addae granted a Police enquiry bail to the female suspect, Priscilla Awuni, pending further investigations. <\/p>\n<p>However, the three male suspects\u2014Joseph Blackige, Kwabena Dodzi, and Adu Yeboah Abraham\u2014were remanded into police custody.<\/p>\n<p>They are scheduled to
