The Ministry of Sports and Recreation has congratulated JoySports journalist Muftawu Nabila Abdulai for being named the Sports Journalist of the Year<\/em> at the 29th Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) Awards held in Kumasi.<\/p>\n

In a statement issued on behalf of the Minister, Kofi Adams, the Ministry commended Muftawu for his dedication to sports journalism and his consistent contribution to the development of the field.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Ministry received the news with great excitement and pride, recognising your hard work, dedication to sports journalism, and the responsiveness qualities that have become your hallmark,\u201d the statement said.<\/p>\n

It further noted that the Ministry appreciates Muftawu\u2019s role in promoting developmental sports journalism, describing his work as impactful and instrumental in advancing public discourse around sports in Ghana.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe developmental angle of sports journalism that you embody is highly valued by the Ministry of Sports and Recreation,\u201d the statement added.<\/p>\n

The Ministry also encouraged the two-time award winner to continue pursuing excellence and to build on his achievements for the broader benefit of sports journalism and national development.<\/p>\n

Muftawu Nabila Abdulai also won the same award at the 2024 GJA Awards at the Accra International Conference Centre.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
