Basake Holy Stars ended a run of seven games in the Ghana Premier League without a win following their triumph over Bibiani GoldStars on Sunday.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Holy Stars recorded a 2-0 win over GoldStars to pick up their first league win of the season.\u00a0<\/p>\n

GoldStars, who were on a run of four games without a loss, looked favourites prior to the fixture but looked second favourites throughout the game.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Prince Opoku opened the scoring for the home side in the 36th minute of the encounter before Prince Tweneboah added a second four minutes later to make it 2-0.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Holy Stars went into the break with a commanding lead as they chased their first win of the campaign.\u00a0<\/p>\n

They returned from recess even stronger but couldn\u2019t add to their goal tally.\u00a0<\/p>\n

While the home side struggled to add to their lead, the visitors fumbled their options in front of goal.\u00a0<\/p>\n

They took no advantage of the opportunities they created in the opposition\u2019s final third as they succumbed to defeat.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The result sees GoldStars drop to fourth on the league table while Basake Holy Stars move to 17th on the league table after nine games.\u00a0<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
