The 29th Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) Awards concluded tonight, November 8, at the Manhyia Palace, with Godwin Asedibe of TV3 crowned the 2024 Journalist of the Year. <\/p>\n

The ceremony, held outside Accra for the first time under the high patronage of the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, was a grand affair celebrating media excellence in Ghana.<\/p>\n

The Multimedia Group Limited emerged as a key winner on the night, securing eight awards across various platforms, demonstrating its continued dominance and reach in Ghana\u2019s media landscape.<\/p>\n

These awards were selected from a pool of 321 entries, reflecting the highly competitive nature of this year\u2019s contest, which focused on the theme: \u201cSafeguarding Ghana\u2019s future: The role of the media in promoting peace, security and the fight against galamsey.\u201d<\/p>\n

The event, marked by its relocation to the Ashanti Region, drew high-profile guests including President John Dramani Mahama, Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, Acting Chief Justice Paul Baffoe-Bonnie, and Alex Apau Dadey, Executive Chairman of the KGL Group.<\/p>\n
