The Multimedia Group Limited (MGL) picked up several key honours at the 29th GJA Media Awards, held at the Manhyia Palace in Kumasi under the patronage of the Asantehene and with President John Dramani Mahama in attendance.<\/p>\n

The Group walked away with eight awards across various categories for journalism in 2024, covering English and Ghanaian-language programming, station recognition, sports journalism and special topic reporting.<\/p>\n

  4. Sports Journalist of the Year \u2013 Muftawu Nabila Abdulai (JoySports)<\/li>\n
  5. Best Radio\/TV Programme (Ghanaian Languages, 2024) \u2013 Ek\u0254si\u025bs\u025bn (Asempa FM)<\/li>\n
  6. Best Radio\/TV Programme (English Language, 2024) \u2013 The Probe (JoyNews)<\/li>\n
  7. Best Akan TV Station of the Year \u2013 Adom TV<\/li>\n
  8. Best Radio Entertainment Programme \u2013 \u201cShowbiz A-Z\u201d (Joy FM)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    These awards highlight MGL\u2019s reach across English-language, vernacular, TV, radio, investigations and sports journalism.<\/p>\n

    The ceremony also underscored the media\u2019s role in national issues such as peace, security, and illegal mining, in keeping with the awards\u2019 theme \u201cSafeguarding Ghana\u2019s future: the role of the media in promoting peace, security and the fight against galamsey.\u201d<\/p>\n
