The Bono Regional Police Command has arrested a 43-year-old man, Yaw Owusu, popularly known as \u2018Angolo\u2019, for allegedly stabbing his younger brother to death during a misunderstanding at Awerempe, a suburb of Berekum West Municipality in the Bono Region.<\/p>\n

According to the Police, the incident occurred on Friday, November 7, 2025, around 10:30 a.m., when a heated argument broke out between the suspect and his 25-year-old brother, Bright Abotsi. <\/p>\n

In the course of the altercation, Yaw Owusu reportedly stabbed his brother in the chest with a knife.<\/p>\n

The victim was rushed to the Holy Family Hospital in Berekum for medical attention, but was pronounced dead on arrival by the medical officer on duty.<\/p>\n

Police investigations revealed that the suspect attempted to flee the scene but was quickly apprehended by officers. <\/p>\n

The body of the deceased was later found lying on a stretcher at the hospital, wearing blood-soaked boxer shorts, with a deep wound on the right side of the upper chest.<\/p>\n

The remains of the deceased have been deposited at the hospital morgue for preservation and autopsy as investigations continue.<\/p>\n

The suspect, Yaw Owusu, is currently in police custody and will be arraigned before court after further investigations are completed.<\/p>\n

Chief Inspector Thomas Akeelah, the Bono Regional Police Public Relations Officer, confirmed the arrest and assured the public that justice will be served.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
