The Bono Regional Police Command has launched an investigation into the suspected murder of a 27-year-old pregnant woman, Haggar Nyorkpatey, at Yaw Wusukrom, a farming community near Nkrankwanta in the Dormaa West District of the region.<\/p>\n

According to the police, the deceased, who was seven months pregnant, was murdered on her farm on Thursday, November 6, 2025.<\/p>\n

The police, in a statement signed by the regional Public Relations Officer (PRO), Chief Inspector Thomas Akeelah, said preliminary investigations revealed that the deceased had her throat slit with a sharp object by an unknown assailant(s).<\/p>\n

The statement said blood clot was found in the deceased\u2019s mouth and ear canal.\u00a0It added that a foamy particle mixed with blood was also found on the deceased\u2019s neck area.<\/p>\n

\u201cPreliminary investigations revealed that the deceased was pregnant, her throat was cut with a sharp object, blood clot was found in the mouth, and ear canal. A foamy particle mixed with blood was also found on the neck area,\u201d the statement revealed.<\/p>\n

It said a 57-year-old Charles Asante, reported to the Police that on November 6, 2025, at about 8:30 a.m., his younger brother\u2019s wife, who was a farmer and seven months pregnant, left for her farm near Yaw Wusukrom and did not return.<\/p>\n

The statement explained that a search party was mounted by the community members, and she was found lying on her farm dead.<\/p>\n

It said that upon receiving the information, the Police proceeded to the crime scene and found the lifeless body of a woman.<\/p>\n

The statement described that the deceased was wearing a multi-coloured dress together with blue trousers with white stripes.<\/p>\n

It explained that when the police examined the body, they found out that she was pregnant and her throat was cut with a sharp object.<\/p>\n

It said the body had since been deposited at Dormaa-Ahenkro Presbyterian hospital mortuary for preservation and autopsy, while investigation continued to unravel the circumstances that led to the murder of the young pregnant woman.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cEfforts are underway to identify and apprehend the suspects responsible for this crime,\u201d it stated.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
