Former Second Vice Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Sammy Crabbe, has outlined his vision as an aspiring chairman to restore the party\u2019s core values and strengthen internal democracy as the NPP prepares for its next leadership elections.<\/p>\n

Speaking on JoyNews\u2019 AM Show<\/em>, Mr Crabbe said the party\u2019s current challenges stem from weak leadership structures and a departure from its founding principles. <\/p>\n

He emphasised that his focus is on rebuilding trust, unity, and constitutional integrity within the party.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve always said we do not have the right leadership in place at this time,\u201d he stated. <\/p>\n

\u201cI trace it to what happened in 2015 when there was an attack on our constitution, which brought about apathy and discouraged people from stepping up to serve.\u201d<\/p>\n

Mr Crabbe explained that his goal is to restore courage and integrity in party leadership, creating space for people driven by principle rather than personal ambition. <\/p>\n

\u201cWe need to resolve the issues and allow people of character to fill the political space,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

He also underscored the importance of inclusivity and tolerance, noting that the NPP must return to its foundational ideals of \u201cdevelopment in freedom.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWe must look at what makes people emotionally connect to a political party,\u201d he noted. \u201cIf we create a space where minorities feel welcome and minority views are accepted, we\u2019ll strengthen the NPP and build a party that truly represents everyone.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
