The Minister for Communications, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, has dismissed claims by former Minister for Works and Housing, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, that the government\u2019s payments to contractors under its major infrastructure drive, The Big Push project, are merely \u201caudio money\u201d.<\/p>\n

Speaking on Metro TV on Friday, October 31, Mr Kwakye Ofosu said the Finance Minister, Dr Cassiel Ato Forson, is releasing \u201creal money\u201d to ensure that projects under the initiative are adequately funded and completed on schedule.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe suggestion that what the Finance Minister is releasing is \u2018audio money\u2019 is simply false,\u201d Mr Kwakye Ofosu stated.<\/p>\n

\u201cDr Ato Forson is ensuring that actual funds reach contractors across the country.<\/p>\n

These are real disbursements for real work, not empty announcements as alleged by the former Minister.\u201d<\/p>\n

He explained that The Big Push project is central to the government\u2019s agenda to transform Ghana\u2019s infrastructure landscape through timely financing and accountability.<\/p>\n

According to him, the initiative is delivering tangible progress in roads, schools, hospitals, and digital infrastructure.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis administration is focused on visible, measurable results. Every cedi released under The Big Push is backed by verifiable work on the ground,\u201d he emphasised.<\/p>\n

Mr Kwakye Ofosu further urged the public to disregard political attempts to downplay the achievements of the current administration.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe facts speak for themselves \u2014 contractors are being paid, projects are moving, and communities are benefiting. The Finance Minister is releasing real money, not \u2018audio money\u2019.<\/p>\n

Ghanaians will see the evidence of this commitment in completed infrastructure nationwide,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
