The Ambassador of Egypt to Ghana, Wael Fathy Ahmed, has reaffirmed Egypt\u2019s commitment to strengthening cooperation with Ghana in the areas of technical and vocational education, training, and capacity building.<\/p>\n

During a visit to the Eco Technical Vocational Institute (ECOTECH) at Spintex, Accra on Tuesday, October 28, Ambassador Ahmed expressed admiration for Ghana\u2019s ongoing development initiatives and commended the government\u2019s efforts to enhance economic growth and job creation.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s a pleasure and an honour to be here today. I always feel happy to visit sites across Ghana,\u201d he said. <\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m representing a great country, Egypt, to a great country, Ghana. We have a long-standing historical relationship between our two nations.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

The envoy, who assumed his post in Ghana just two months ago, said he was particularly impressed by the progress made at ECOTECH and other local projects aimed at promoting technical and vocational skills development.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are here to help the Ghanaian people and government achieve their success stories. We will provide all the necessary support from our side,\u201d he noted. \u201cEgypt is helping to facilitate visa processes between both countries and will bring in experienced technicians to share their expertise with their Ghanaian colleagues.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ambassador Ahmed emphasised that Egypt has several institutions dedicated to technical education and capacity building, and that his government is eager to share its knowledge with Ghana.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have a wealth of experience in technical education,\u201d he explained. \u201cOur institutes specialise in training technicians to work effectively with modern technology and in handicrafts. We believe that handicrafts and small enterprises are key drivers of the economy, and we hope to help our Ghanaian brothers achieve similar success.\u201d<\/p>\n

He further praised Ghana\u2019s new government for its initiatives to revitalise the economy and expand employment opportunities.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m impressed with what I\u2019ve seen so far. The government is doing a great job in enhancing the economy and facilitating job opportunities for all,\u201d the ambassador added.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n
