The government once again missed its treasury bills target as investor interest continues to shift to Fixed Deposits and other money market instruments.<\/p>\n

According to auction results from the Bank of Ghana, the T-bills were undersubscribed by 30%.<\/p>\n

According to trading results by the Bank of Ghana, the government got GH\u00a24.760 billion from a target of GH\u00a26.824 billion.<\/strong><\/p>\n

F<\/strong>or the first time in several weeks, it accepted all the total bids. \u00a0<\/p>\n

A little over 73% of the bids came from the 91-day bill.\u00a0 About GH\u00a23.4 billion of the bids were tendered.<\/p>\n

For the 182-day bill, GH\u00a2785.31 million of the bids were tendered.<\/p>\n

Also, GH\u00a2487.5 million of the bids were offered for the 364-day bill.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, interest rates were mixed on the yield curve.<\/p>\n

The yield on the 91-day bill decreased by 2.0 basis points to 10.67%.\u00a0<\/p>\n

That of the 182-day bill, however, went up to 12.46% from the 12.43% the preceding week.<\/p>\n

The yield on the 364-day bill fell by 5.0 basis points to 12.87%.<\/p>\n
