Real Madrid\u00a0coach Xabi Alonso refused to be drawn on comments from\u00a0Lamine Yamal\u00a0ahead of the Cl\u00e1sico, after the\u00a0Barcelona\u00a0star\u00a0joked\u00a0that Madrid \u201crob and complain.\u201d<\/p>\n

Yamal was speaking in a YouTube interview promoting Gerard Piqu\u00e9\u2019s Kings League \u2014 where he now president of a team \u2014 and made the comments when asked if a league rival behaved similarly to Madrid.<\/p>\n

Madrid go into Sunday\u2019s match at the Santiago Bernab\u00e9u two points clear of Bar\u00e7a, with nine games played.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s an important enough game,\u201d Alonso said in a news conference on Saturday when asked about Yamal. \u201cIt has a lot of ingredients\u2026 The important thing is what happens on the pitch, and what we have ahead of us tomorrow, and how we want to play. That\u2019s what most concerns me.\u201d<\/p>\n

Bar\u00e7a assistant coach Marcus Sorg \u2014 speaking with Hansi Flick suspended \u2014 also played down the comments.<\/p>\n

\u201cLamine is a top player, and I think it will be motivating for him,\u201d Sorg said on Saturday. \u201cWe hope we see him tomorrow giving his best performance.\u201d<\/p>\n

Madrid lost all four Cl\u00e1sicos last season \u2014 two in LaLiga, and one each in the Supercopa and the\u00a0Copa del Rey\u00a0\u2014 including a 4-0 defeat at the Bernab\u00e9u.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019ve analysed them,\u201d Alonso said. \u201cBut the moment is different for them and us, it\u2019s a different project, we\u2019re just starting. We\u2019ve analysed it. We want to play to our strengths.\u201d<\/p>\n

In Alonso\u2019s two most high-profile games so far, the Club World Cup semifinal against\u00a0Paris Saint-Germain\u00a0and the derby with Atletico Madrid, Real have suffered heavy losses.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t like just to look at results but the process,\u201d Alonso said. \u201cIt\u2019s been 12 games, there\u2019s been growth, there\u2019s room to improve, but we\u2019re almost in November. No trophies are given out yet. There\u2019s a lot of season left.\u201d<\/p>\n

Defenders\u00a0Dean Huijsen,\u00a0Trent Alexander-Arnold\u00a0and\u00a0Dani Carvajal\u00a0\u2014 who have been absent through injury \u2014 all took part in training on Saturday.<\/p>\n

\u201cI have [the XI] in my head,\u201d Alonso said. \u201cWe\u2019ve got almost all the players back who couldn\u2019t play against\u00a0Juventus\u00a0[in midweek], and tomorrow you\u2019ll see.\u201d<\/p>\n

Champions Bar\u00e7a finished four points ahead of Madrid last season, as they completed a domestic treble.<\/p>\n

Madrid have won eight out of nine games in LaLiga this campaign \u2014 and all three Champions League matches \u2014 with their only defeat being 5-2 to Atletico.<\/p>\n

Barcelona lost back-to-back games earlier this month, against PSG and\u00a0Sevilla, but have since bounced back with two wins in the last week.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
