Ex Accra Hearts of Oak and Accra Great Olympics midfielder, Laryea Kingston, has spelt out the motivation behind investing immensely into his coaching career.<\/p>\n

He made this revelation in his shock decision to resign as head coach of Ghana\u2019s National Under 17 Men\u2019s Football Team-the Black Starlets in the wake of the team\u2019s semifinal loss to Burkina Faso.<\/p>\n

Ghana lost 2-1 to Burkina Faso at the University of Ghana Stadium in Legon during the WAFU Under 17 Championship. The loss eliminates Ghana from qualifying to the Under 17 AFCON competition.<\/p>\n

In his speech, the former Black Stars player said that he had decided to leave his Black Starlets role before the tournament started regardless of the outcome and added that,<\/a> (Click highlighted text to read full story)<\/p>\n

\u201cI gave my all as a player for this country but at the end, I wasn\u2019t happy as a player. I have focused more on my coaching career, educated myself well to make sure I come back and change the narrative. The investment I put in myself is all because I want to change something in Ghana football.\u201d<\/p>\n
