Kumasi Asante Kotoko has transferred striker Albert Amoah to Libyan side Al Ahli Benghazi.<\/p>\n

A club statement on Friday night said \u201cwe can confirm the permanent transfer of forward Albert Amoah to Libyan side Al Ahly Benghazi.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cAsante Kotoko is grateful to Albert for his services to the club and his achievements with us. We wish him the very best for the future.\u201d<\/p>\n

The club announced the transfer, two hours after Friday night\u2019s embarrassing 5-1 loss to Wydad Athletic Club (WAC) of Morocco in the second leg of the CAF Confederation Cup final round eliminator.<\/p>\n

Kotoko lost the tie 6-1 on aggregate, having lost the first leg at home by a goal to nil.Amoah leaves as the club\u2019s top scorer, having scored four goals in five matches.<\/p>\n

The former Great Olympics striker scored 12 goals from twenty eight matches last season, and looked set to improve on that tally.<\/p>\n

With Amoah out of the club, Donzo Morifing will now lead Kotoko\u2019s attack. The Guinean is yet to score in seven matches in all competitions. <\/p>\n<\/div>\n
