The Bono Regional Police Command has embarked on a proactive engagement exercise in Sampa to directly address community anxiety and promote peace following recent security concerns in the area.<\/p>\n

The move, aimed at restoring public confidence, was led by the Deputy Regional Police Commander, ACP Mr. Andrews George Kumah, and operational personnel on October 22, 2025.<\/p>\n

The Command paid engagement visits to various schools, speaking directly with teachers and students to assure them of their safety and protection.<\/p>\n

The police presence, they emphasised, is now robust and visible.<\/p>\n

Teachers Drop Transfer Plans After Police Assurance<\/strong><\/p>\n

A significant outcome of the visit was the positive response from the teaching staff, many of whom admitted to considering abandoning their posts due to fear.<\/p>\n

According to a statement from Chief Inspector Thomas Akeelah, Public Relations Officer for the Bono Regional Police Command, some teachers openly expressed that they \u201chad been considering transferring due to fear, but after the police assurance of their safety, they would stay.\u201d<\/p>\n

The teachers appreciated the visible police presence in the area, stating it has given them \u201crenewed hope for their safety.\u201d <\/p>\n

The retention of educators is critical to the stability of the Sampa community.<\/p>\n

Advice on Trust and Misinformation<\/strong><\/p>\n

Addressing the students, ACP Kumah offered advice on community-police relations and the dangers of misinformation. <\/p>\n

He advised the students \u201cnot to view police officers as enemies but rather to approach them with credible information.\u201d<\/p>\n

He also cautioned the students to \u201cdisregard false information on social media\u201d and issued a firm warning against illegal activities: \u201canyone found with a weapon in Sampa would be arrested.\u201d<\/p>\n

Incident-Free Market Days Promised<\/strong><\/p>\n

In a direct response to reported community fears surrounding public gatherings, ACP Kumah assured residents that the police would ensure the upcoming market day, and all subsequent ones, would be \u201cincident-free,\u201d allowing citizens to attend the market \u201cwithout fear or panic.\u201d<\/p>\n

All the schools visited expressed sincere gratitude to the police for the direct engagement and requested that the Command continue its interaction until complete peace and order are permanently maintained in Sampa.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
